The STAAR Test (Also known as the EOC or End of Course Exam) will take place in April/May. When the dates are made available via OTHS and Katy ISD the information will be published on Canvas. 
Students’ social studies skills are not assessed in isolation but are incorporated into questions that assess understanding of U.S. history content. These skills focus on applying critical thinking skills to interpret, organize, and analyze social studies information from a variety of sources.

All students enrolled in Texas public schools and open-enrollment charter schools in grades 3–8 and specific high school courses are required by both federal and state law to participate in STAAR.
